The incident happened on Nov. 30, 2016, in the garden of Kepez municipal building in Antalya.
Reacting against unemployment and indebtedness, Mehmet Kapurtu entered the municipal garden with a gasoline can.
Eyewitnesses called the police, and Kapurtu told the police that he would immolate himself holding a lighter in his hand.
Getting the promise for job, Kapurtu gave up committing suicide.
