The National Education Ministry of Turkey and Ensar Foundation, notorious for the systematic rape of children at one of its dormitories, signed a 5-year protocol regarding the organization of seminars, educational and social activities by the Ensar Foundation.

The protocol grants authorization to the foundation to organize activities like seminars, projects, field trips, competitions, camps and summer schools. The ministry of national education will work in cooperation with the Foundation regarding the organization of activities.

THE MINISTRY WILL FUNNEL MONEY TO THE ENSAR FOUNDATION

According to another 3-year protocol signed by the General Directorate of Lifelong Learning and government-linked Ensar Foundation, the ministry will assign necessary educational personnel for the Ensar Foundation's courses and pay their allowances.

Provincial and district directorates of national education will be in charge of inspecting the procedures.

While the news on Ensar Foundations systematic child abuse shook Turkey in 2016, the ruling AKP MPs and government officials firmly backed the foundation. One of the chairpersons of the foundation has recently been appointed a judge.
