Communist Party of Turkey (TKP) made a declaration subsequent to recently announced February inflation rates.
Referring to the recently announced “richest Turks” list, TKP stated, “On one side there are people in queues to buy eggplant, on the other side there are dollar billionaires whose wealth we know only partially. It is a great lie to argue that the people are condemned to this crooked bourgeoisie order.”

Inflation rates for February have been announced. The prices continue to increase.
Furthermore, the increase in prices continues despite the tricks the AKP government applied to the inflation basket in order to reduce the calculation.
The prices of food products have increased by 29 percent. In transportation, the rate is 21 percent and in household appliances, it is 26 percent. The people are paying 47 percent more to electricity and gas compared to the previous year.
Erdoğan does not seem concerned with this reality and in his hometown, Rize, blatantly argues that the inflation rate will be reduced to 6 percent. He scatters around election promises. Erdoğan is expecting to handle the situation with a few points decrease in the inflation until the elections.
However, the high cost of living continues to hurt the people. The opposite is also true. Capitalists in the “Richest 100 Turks” list of 2018 announced 2 days ago have increased their wealth in 2018. Inflation does not bother them; they continue to fill their bank accounts regardless of the increases and decreases in the inflation rate. The economy magazine announcing the list argues that these capitalists have shown strong resistance against the challenging environment, opened new areas of businesses and continued to increase their profits in these difficult times.

The people are not condemned to poverty, unemployment and inflation while the capitalists enjoy their lives in luxury mansions.
Communist Party of Turkey continues to struggle against this lie, and to organize in order to change this crooked order.
The alternative of the people is growing stronger.
