Turkish Deputy Prime Minister, Nurettin Canikli, made a statement about the recent political crisis between Turkey and European countries. After asking for support for the presidential system that will be voted in the upcoming referendum, he stated that “a weak government serves only for terrorist organisations and those who have plans on Turkey. Capital will flow only when there is a consistency in government”.

Canikli also mentioned the political crisis Turkey had with the Netherlands over Ankara's attempt for political campaigning among Turkish immigrants and its banning by Dutch authorities. The deputy prime minister said that “Europe showed its true colours, it reverts to type. There is racism, exploitation, blood and violence at the heart of Europe. The conditions present before the World War I have started to reemerge in Europe”.
