As WikiLeaks publishes the e-mails belonging to Energy and Natural Resources Minister Berat Albayrak, who is also President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan's son-in-law, scandalous sections from his inbox continue to be revealed.

The correspondence between Kaan Terzioğlu, current CEO of Turkcell, and Suzan Sabancı, of the Sabancı family, regarding the first words of then-Prime Minister Erdoğan, who went to Africa during the June uprising and gave a speech as soon as he came back to Turkey, has been leaked as it was forwarded to Berat Albayrak by Terzioğlu.

The Sabancı family is the wealthiest family of Turkey according to the Forbes billionaires list of 2016, with an estimated fortune ranging between $20-30 billion. Suzan Sabancı, a member of the Sabancı family in third generation. She is currently chairperson and executive board member of Akbank, as well as board member of Sabancı Holding.

During the June uprising, millions of citizens were in the streets and squares in almost every city of Turkey. The police officers, instructed by the AKP government, seriously injured more than 8,000 and killed 11 people. The police brutally attacked the protester using disproportionate amount of tear gas, plastic bullets, and water cannons.

Very good. I liked it personally. He very well drew the line of being leader vs. being indulgent that I mentioned to you yesterday. Right on the button. Kind but firm, leading and guiding. Of course, there’ll be ones that don’t understand, that divert, but they’ll seem marginal in my opinion.
