Mineworkers from Çanakkale, Turkey have reached out to the PE solidarity network (We Breathe Down the Bosses' Neck), which is one of the most widespread workers communication networks founded by the Communist Party of Turkey (TKP).

GPM Minery, a company mines copper and zinc, hasn’t paid the workers’ payments for seven months under the economic bottleneck which Turkey faces during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The workers have been sending caveats consistently but the company hasn’t provided an answer yet. The workers struggling said that they were determined to get their rights. Although the company continuously postpones the payment date, the workers will stay in front of the mine to protest and get their rights.
