Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu makes a statement about the ceasefire decision after the meeting with the US delegation.
"We got what we wanted. Thus, the US side accepted the legitimacy of our operations. We agreed on the laydown of heavy weapons of the YPG. This is not a cease-fire. The cease-fire is done on two legitimate sides. We are giving a break to the operation for YPG to leave the safe zone," the minister said.
