A woman living in the capital city of Turkey, Ankara was complained by her neighbours because she wears shorts in her own apartment. Neighbours from the opposite building told the manager she wears shorts and this is inappropriate.
She has been watched for a while by the neighbours in the opposite and next buildings, the woman wrote on Twitter. These people also complained about the woman to the building manager and the manager "warned" the woman to draw the curtains "for her own sake".
Reacting against these kinds of reactionary attitudes, she says “we do not feel comfortable on the streets, in other places. How could these people dare to step in our lives in our own apartments?".
