NOT EXCEPTION BUT ORDINARY INCIDENT

Attacking citizens for their clothing and not performing Islamic practices has become an ordinary incident during the rule of the Justice and Development Party (AKP).

Recently, in October 2016, Ayşegül Terzi, a 23-year-old nurse, was attacked by a man in a bus in Istanbul for wearing shorts, which ‘was not suitable’, according to the attacker.

A father and his son were attacked by a group of reactionary people in Mudanya, in the Marmara region of Turkey, on May 29, 2017, a few days after the beginning of the Ramadan for not fasting.

A reactionary group had attacked non-fasting students at the Ankara University and vandalised the university cafeteria on June 3, 2017.
