It has been claimed that the commander of the military guard post at Bismil District of Diyarbakır has forced the villagers to vote openly and stated, “You will openly vote and vote for only one party!, I will vote on your behalf if required.”

According to Mezepotamya Agency quoting polling clerk resident in Köprü village anonymously, the commander of the military guard post forced the residents to vote openly.

The polling clerk stated that the commander did not want anyone to come to the voting stations and that he would vote on behalf of everyone in the village early in the morning. The commander was quoted threatening the villagers by saying “I am here for 4-5 months, but you will always be here. You will all vote for the same party. I will vote on your behalf if necessary.”
