Through the daily podcast Voice of TKP released Wednesday, TKP argued that the world is again on the brink of a big collapse after 2008. According to the broadcast, stock markets crashed, stocks were devaluated and millions of dollars instantly vaporized in many parts of the world.

TKP stated that even though the coronavirus is depicted as the main reason behind economic incidents, it is the system itself that is under constant crisis since the 1970s and which is not even strong enough to face the flu. It was also emphasized that an average of 4000 people die a day in the world of tuberculosis which does not cause economic collapse and which capitalism does not really care about. Since it is only what brings profit that is important for it, none of the similar health issues are seen on its media.

TKP also marked that the system survives as a part of people are suffering poverty while the other part highly consumes. The epidemic also affected this unequal consumption as tourism expenses decreased and airfreight business faltered.

In the podcast, it was also stated that the worldwide system has rendered every sort of economic activity bound with each other. When any of those is affected the others start to collapse on one another. This illogical crisis of global capitalism is being dragged into a crisis as the bosses make their profit not directly on production but valuing imaginary papers. Once the crisis turns up, all these papers will be nullified.

TKP reminded that even though the epidemic is expected to be stalled by late spring, the illogical and unreasonable state of global capitalism will survive unless we put an end to it.

It was also underlined that the Communist Party of Turkey is pointing out to the unsustainability of this system and is reminding that the only hope for the future for humanity is socialism based on planning and equal cooperation of the nations. TKP once more called upon the working people of the country to struggle for a new system.
