According to a prosecutor in Ankara, the capital city of Turkey, Islamic State (IS) has been running an office block In the city as a “school” to indoctrinate children.

IS members in Turkey do not send their children to the public schools, but send them to the “mosques, study or training centres built by themselves”. The prosecutors cannot charge IS for running an “illegal education institution”, as current AKP government removed the said crime from Turkish law.

IS flags and “school reports” for children found in the building in Ankara. According to the prosecutor Ender Coşkun, IS has been using the three floors of the building as a school. ISIS members running the school will be charged for “being a member of an armed terror organisation”.

IS has been training children from age 10 to 18, 27 girls found in a school, while the total number of children is not known. AKP turned a blind eye to Islamic schools for children and it is no longer a criminal offence to open such institutions.
