Cuba continues to support Italy, which was affected by the epidemic, in addition to its aid to the countries in its region against the coronavirus epidemic.

After the arrival of Chinese and Cuban doctors in Italy in the past weeks, Cuba has now sent doctors and nurses at the request of Italy to Lombardy, where the epidemic caused the most death.

The 52-person health delegation arrived in Lombardy on Sunday. This has been the 6th country that Cuba supported against the epidemic.

Cuba has previously sent delegations to Venezuela, Nicaragua, Jamaica, Suriname, and Grenada.

“We are all afraid but we have a revolutionary duty to fulfill, so we take out fear and put it to one side,” Leonardo Fernandez, an intensive care specialist, told Reuters late on Saturday.
