An explosion occurred during the passage of the bus carrying riot police on the way to Kozan in the central Yüreğir district of Adana.

Governor Mahmut Demirtaş made a statement, saying a bomb attack was organized during the passage of the police bus. 1 police officer and 4 people were slightly injured in the attack, he said.

Adana Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Zeydan Karalar said the bomb may have been placed in advance.

Justice Minister Abdülhamit Gül, said on the attack, ''We will continue the effective fight against terrorism with all our security organization."

The Adana Chief Public Prosecutor's Office launched an investigation into the attack, it is reported.
