Inditex Group, which involves internationally-known trademarks such as Zara, Bershka, and Pull & Bear, initiated the discount season for their products. As can be appreciated, the workload multiplies several times in such seasons for people who work as sales assistants, cashiers, storehouse supervisors, accountants, and interns in this type of stores.

The advices to “endure” such severe periods are pretty interesting. These advices were shared via e-mails, in WhatsApp groups, and hanged in changing rooms with the signature of Dr. İbrahim Kabakçı, the Occupational Physician. Acknowledging that the employees may be physically and mentally exhausted in discount seasons, Dr. Kabakçı suggests that “it is in your hands to reduce this exhaustion”.

Several of the advices are as follows:

Embrace the workload in the discount season inside your inner-world, with your mind and your soul.
Do not have prejudices such as: “There is the discount, so I shall be tired, and even exhausted.” Psychologically activate yourself by telling yourself : “This is our job, and no one else will do this job.”
Psychologically reward yourself by telling yourself: “I will do this when the discount season is over.”
Do not personalize the customers’ attitudes, which may be troubling to you; instead, be patient by telling yourself: “We are here for them.”
Do not worry about whether the work will be done until the evening’s closure time; do not bear negative thoughts.
If you feel low and work carelessly, you may cause work accidents.
Calculate your time well in discount seasons; do not waste it.
Lay off social activities during the discount seasons; go home and rest.
Those with fatigue pains may take such medications as Majezik, Apranax, and Parol twice a day: one in the morning, and one in the evening.
Take vitamins.
