US company to search oil in southeastern Turkey

Aladdin Middle East Ltd.'s license application to search for oil in Siirt is accepted and the company is granted a five-year license

According to the announcement published in the Official Gazette by the General Directorate of Petroleum Affairs of Turkish Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources, US-based Aladdin Middle East Ltd.’s (AME) application for a petroleum exploration license in Turkey’s southeastern provinces of Siirt province was approved.

The AME company has applied for a license on the territory for an area of 30 thousand 548 hectares on August 4, 2017.

Aladdin Petroleum Corporation was established in Kansas in 1926 while its operational headquarter is located in Ankara, Turkey. The company has developed large oil fields in various parts of Kansas and the United States. After World War II, they started running activities at the Caribbean, South Australian coasts, West Africa and the Middle East.

AME was established as an oil and gas exploration and production company in 1961 and has been focusing on Turkey in search of oil and gas resources.
