Images spotted by Syrian drones caused suspicions that the US and Jordanian militaries may launch an operation for the invasion of Syria from the south.

The Syrian intelligence reported that surveillance drones spotted hundreds of armoured vehicles belonging the US and Jordanian military forces at the border. Images spotted by the drones led to increasing suspicions regarding the US and Jordanian militaries may launch an operation for the invasion of Syria from the southern part of the country.

According to a report in Al-Masdar News, the images spotted by surveillance drones of the Syrian Armed Forces (SAA) at the Jordan-Syria border show that the US and Jordan are preparing a massive armoured vehicle concentration at a military base in Jordan near the Syrian desert border.

Damascus has been on red alert after about 400 US and Jordan armoured vehicles were deployed to the Az-Zarqa military base near the border.

Jordan and the United States are said to have a possibility to launch an incursion to aid Free Syrian Army (FSA) terrorist group around the Al-Tanf in the Iraq-Syria-Jordan border.

While the US-British-Jordanian backed FSA militants is dangerously advancing from Daraa, a city in southwestern Syria, to the eastern part of Damascus, and then to Deir ez-Zor, a province in eastern Syria, there is also a danger of breaking the line between Palmyra and Iraq border.

Syrian army has launched a large-scale offensive along the Damascus-Baghdad highway in order to fight the FSA terrorist group down from Al-Tanf border crossing to overcome the advance of the militants.

Jordan had threatened to send troops to establish a buffer zone in Syria with a statement made on May 8.

In response to the statement, Syrian Foreign Minister Walid Muallem had said that Syria does not want to wage a war with Jordan, but if the Jordanian troops enter Syrian territories without coordinating with Damascus, it will be considered as the violation of Syria’s sovereignty and thus SAA will treat the intruders like an enemy.
