United Metalworkers’ Union Women Commission published a report on government’s national employment strategy that had been declared on July 7. The report stated that the employment policies of AKP government led to a rapid increase in women unemployment, while the number of the unemployed young women increased from 18.8 percent to 25 percent since 2014. It was also emphasised that the conservative policies of the government have the negative effect on women employment, as the women are generally considered as "housekeepers".

United Metalworkers’ Union Women Commission pointed out that the “remote working from the house” plan of the Ministry of Labour would lead to more flexible and insecure working conditions for women.
