Turkish government seized Reza Zarrab's jet

İstanbul provincial security directorate seized the Challenger 300 type jet of Turkish-Iranian tycoon Reza Zarrab on December 7. The jet was registered in the assets of ARE Aviation company owned by Zarrab.

The decision came after the Turkish government's settlement to seize the assets of Zarrab and his acquaintances as part of the investigation against Zarrab on December 1. The Chief Public Prosecutor's office in İstanbul accused Zarrab of espionage for the benefit of a foreign country and that his assets would be used to compensate for the expenses of his investments. On December 3, Zarrab's Roysar Holding and Durak foreign exchange bureau turned out to had been abandoned immediately after Zarrab had been arrested in the US.

Zarrab has been taking the stand in the federal court in Manhattan since November 29, testifying he had paid jaw-dropping bribes to a Turkish government minister to evade the Us economic sanctions against Iran.
