Turkey will take all possible steps to prevent US plans to set up the so-called Border Security Force (BSF) on the Syrian territory controlled by the Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), the Turkish National Security Council (MGK) said Wednesday.

The MGK demanded that all weapons given to Kurdish fighters in Syria be collected without delay.

"Turkey will not allow the creation of a terrorist corridor along its borders, as well as a terrorist army. All necessary measures will be taken in this regard. All weaponry that has been delivered to the terrorist organization - the self-defense forces of the Syrian Kurds - must be immediately collected and retrieved," the council said in the statement.
