Turkey’s ruling Justice and Development Party (AKP) continuous to impose its Islamist approach with an official notice from a local directorate of the Ministry of National Education, further imposing the compulsory Islamic lesson out of classrooms.
The Directorate of the ministry in İstanbul’s Maltepe district published an official notice, enabling Islamic lesson teachers to impose religious curriculum during the spare time of students out of classrooms and educational hours.
The official notice briefly says that the educational directorate decided to provide religion lessons for the students in groups of ten individuals under the name of “family visits at homes” in order to “contribute to bringing up generations having national and spiritual values” out of formal educational hours.
According to the educational directorate’s official notice, the school children will be taught such lessons as “the love of Allah”, “the reflections of faith”, and “July 15: the night of awareness”.

It is striking that the AKP authorities endeavour to impose a demagogic and Islamic discourse on the students by means of the interpretation and teaching of Turkey’s July 15 military coup attempt as a “divine gift and awareness” in the road to the establishment of “New Turkey”.
The educational directorate’s politically biased notice shows that the Islamist government of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan tends to portray the coup attempt, masterminded by some groups including the Islamist network of the U.S.-based preacher Fethullah Gülen (FETÖ, the Gülenist terror organizations), as a “divine gift”, concealing that the two formerly allied actors undermined the secular values of Turkey in line with the imperialist schemes.
The Islamist government of President Erdoğan is designating the social life of Turkey in many fields such as education, health, cultural life and marital status in accordance with the pro-sharia Islamist impositions.
