A trilateral meeting on Syria between Turkey, host Russia, and Iran will be held on Nov. 22 in the Black Sea city of Sochi.

The participants from Ankara, Moscow and Tehran will discuss developments in Syria and the recent state of the region.

Turkish Deputy Prime Minister Bekir Bozdağ confirmed on Thursday that Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan will be visiting Russia soon for talks with Russian and Iranian leaders on the Astana process on Syria.

Earlier in the day, local media reported that Erdoğan would take part in trilateral Russia-Turkey-Iran talks on Syria in Russia’s Sochi on November 22. Russian President Vladimir Putin will also be attending the event, the media outlet reported without specifying who would represent Iran.

"This piece of news is reliable. President Erdogan will visit Russia soon again. The leaders of Russia, Iran and Turkey will discuss the Astana process and the Syrian political transition process, will make important judgements," Bozdağ said as quoted by the Anadolu news agency.
