Russia’s Investigative Committee opened a terror-related criminal case and arrested 10 people on suspicion of having links to the metro blast. The latest statements made by investigators indicate that the attacker had received money from an international terrorist group via organisers in Turkey.

The April 3 explosion in a train that travelled between two metro stations in Russia's St. Petersburg killed 15 people and the bomber, identified as Akbarzhon Jalilov. Around 50 commuters were injured. The latest victim died in hospital earlier on Friday.

Abror Azimov, a man suspected of masterminding the deadly bombing in St. Petersburg metro, was arrested on Tuesday. He is suspected of having groomed the suicide bomber, while Abror’s brother Akram helped contact an international terror group and transfer money from it.
