The ruling Justice and Development Party (AKP) deputies voted openly during the officially secret ballot for the presidential system on parliament to remove any suspicion about their choices on late Monday. Health Minister Recep Akdağ said ‘It is none of your business, do your job, man’ to a deputy of the opposing Republican People’s Party (CHP) following his reaction.

The members of the AKP turned the secret ballot into open ballot due to the fear of leakage. They targeted the deputies of the CHP.

The words of the Minister sparkled a short agitation among the deputies of the AKP and those of the CHP.

Tuncay Özkan, a deputy of CHP, shouted to the Deputy Speaker saying that the AKP deputies were intervening to the ballot. The AKP deputies called him ‘Lier’. Özkan stated that he saw the AKP deputies telling the other deputies of their party to show the envelope used for the ballot.
