The municipality of Şişli, ruled by Hayri İnönü from the Republican People's Party (CHP), has prevented the Kentyol company, where 1171 cleaning labourers work, to participate in a tender for the cleaning services of the district. The workers reacting to the plan to tender the cleaning services to a subcontractor company have decided to start a “justice march” to Ankara for job security. They previously held a demonstration in front of the municipality headquarters.

One of the municipality workers spoke to soL about their resistance and stated they wouldn’t have any job security and the guarantees by Şişli Mayor Hayri İnönü about job security were meaningless.

CHP leader Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu marched from Turkish capital of Ankara to İstanbul to protest the implementations of Turkey’s President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and his ruling AKP party. Communist Party of Turkey (TKP) issued a statement on the “justice march” pointing to the class character of justice. TKP stated, “There is no pursuit of justice without the working class leading the struggle and the workers say: There won't be justice unless we abolish exploitation!

After the "justice march", CHP leader said they also marched for Turkish capitalists' safety and Muhsin Yazıcıoğlu, an ultra-nationalist and fascist political leader who died in a controversial helicopter crash.
