Workers from Real Markets, a hypermarket chain in Turkey that recently went bankrupt, will hold a protest in Ankara today. Workers who have been dismissed by Real Markets in Ankara, İstanbul, Kocaeli and Konya will come together in front of Çayyolu Beğendik market to protest the company and the yellow union which cooperated with the company.

Nearly 1700 workers in twelve markets were dismissed without compensation after Real Markets declared bankruptcy. Workers and their lawyers say that the bankruptcy was most likely fraudulent. Speaking to soL, some of the workers stated they were unable to collect their salaries and compensation and will organize other workers against this theft.
