It is alleged that international observers from the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) were prevented from fulfilling their observation procedures during Turkey’s referendum.

In Sur, a district in the heavily Kurdish-populated province of Diyarbakır, international observer Andrej Hunko declared on his twitter account that heavy armed special forces prevented international observers from fulfilling their duties.

In the city of Batman, another international observer Lorenzo Lacalle wrote on her twitter account that international observers were prevented, making a call for OSCE to send more observers.

Michael Link from OSCE stated in an interview with Deutsch Welle ''there are restrictions against the ‘No’ propaganda. and ''In the past election frauds and violations were a phenomenon especially in Eastern parts of Turkey, now, because of the state of emergency, frauds and violations are expected throughout the country.''

OSCE representatives have announced that they will hold a press conference on Monday regarding the allegations of prevention.
