Only 80 of 350 detainees in Giresun E-type Closed Prison have been allowed to vote in the local elections of March 31 in Turkey, it has been reported by Gazetekarınca.

As the prison administration prevented more than 250 detainees from using their right to vote, Ömer Faruk Gergerlioğlu, Kocaeli Deputy of pro-Kurdish Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP), informed that the prison governor told the detainees who objected to this unlawful and arbitrary decision that "I rule the roast in this prison, go and complain to whoever you want".
