The political bans for handing out pamphlets, set up stands, petitions, putting up posters and banners, and organising marches and meetings, which were announced on February 1 are lifted for President Erdoğan's upcoming rally. The rally will take place on Sunday. President Erdoğan will talk about the referendum and try to gain support for constitutional change, which will provide him broad authority and power. Governors' authority has already been expanded through the state of emergency following the coup attempt.

According to OdaTV news, bans are lifted due to promoting Erdoğan's rally. An order has been issued to public civil servants in the governorate area of Gaziantep to attend the meeting. Recently, similar acts of double standard in the political campaigns for the upcoming referrandum has resulted in severe criticism and reactions.

Different governmental institutions said attendance to the rally is obligatory due to professional education and enhancing institutional knowledge. Employment Agency of Turkey claimed in its notice that the rally will “provide information” about the institution. Directorate of National Education also ordered its officers to attend the meeting.
