Ankara University’s campus in Cebeci has recently faced with attacks from a fascist group concerted with the police. The students of the university continue showing their reaction against these fascist attacks.

On March 22, a fascist group opened a stand in the morning to provoke the students in the campus. These provocations resulted in the fascist group’s attack to the students who reacted against them. After this attack, the fascist group left the campus with the help of the police.

STATEMENT MADE BY COMMUNIST YOUTH of TURKEY

Communist Youth of Turkey has made a statement about the recent events in their campus and forwarded this statement to others. They stated that they would continue speaking up for “no” and they would not accept the role they were given in this scenario.

According to the statement of Communist Youth of Turkey, with the attacks targeting the campus in Cebeci, fascist groups are trying to make their presence felt. “Neither the attack in our campus nor other attacks in various universities are independent from the political atmosphere in Turkey”, the statement added.

Communist Youth of Turkey indicates that working for ‘no’ regarding the referendum is not allowed in the campus and these attacks are part of a big plan. “The recent events”, they claim, “are organised in order to suppress the apparently powerful wind blowing for ‘no’”. They added that as the students of this campus, they would continue saying no.
