New protocol between Religious Affairs Presidency and Scientific Council

The Presidency of Religious Affairs and the Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey (TÜBİTAK) have signed a cooperation protocol

According to the cooperation protocol that has been signed in the conference hall of the Presidency of Religious Affairs, it is aimed to establish a Moon and Horizon Observation Unit (AYGÖZ) in order to put an end in the debate of the worship hours.

The agreement between the Presidency of Religious Affairs and the Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey (TÜBİTAK) brought to mind the reactionary projects supported by TÜBİTAK in the past.

2016, a project entitled "A Study on the Effect of Religious Belief, Prayers and Positive Thinking on Cancer" was invited to a TÜBİTAK competition in the psychology category.

In the same exhibition, "The Influence of Friday's Prayer on Socialization” project prepared by students from Isparta was among the projects that were entitled to participate in regional exhibitions of TÜBİTAK.
