Negotiations on a consensus started between the Syrian government and representatives of the six towns and neighbouring villages in the north of Aleppo, with the participation of Russian officials.

A consensus meeting was held, alongside with the participation of representatives of the Menagh and Tal Rifat towns, which are controlling by Kurdish Peoples' Protection Units (YPG) militants, Al Masdar news reported.

Lots of resolutions on enhancing living standards and returning the pre-war conditions of the 6 towns and neighbouring villages are taken.

After the “national consensus” talks, which are expected to process gradually, an official said that first locals will return to their own lands with the support of the Syrian government.

There were many agreements in Damascus and its rural areas in the past, with the result of raising the Syrian flag and life returning to normal.

Ankara sees the Kurdish Democratic Union Party (PYD) and its armed wing YPG as affiliates of the armed Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) which has been designated as a terrorist group by Turkey.

Turkey began Euphrates Shield operation inside Syria in August, targeting both Islamic State and Kurdish militia.
