Erdal Aksünger, vice chairman of main opposition Republican People's Party (CHP), protested the news regarding the percentage of the opened ballot boxes in today’s referendum.

"Results are being manipulated. They claim that %60 of ballot boxes have been opened," Aksünger said, stating that the actual percentage stood at 40%.

CHP MP Ali Haydar Hakverdi pointed out "AA [State-run Anadolu news agency] is manipulating the results. We have been informed that 'NO' votes are ahead in all regions. Keep protecting the ballot boxes. 'NO' votes will win."
