In the southern province of Antalya, Turkey, police inhibited the sale of the Labour's Newspaper of the Communist Party of Turkey (TKP) and seized the periodical unlawfully on February 10. Police gave the state of emergency as an excuse of its arbitrary and unlawful prosecution.

Labour's Newspaper calls in its headline “Don’t feed the bourgeoisie” to workers and exhorts to quit the Individual Pension System, which they only have 60 day period after obligatory and automatically joining the system.

Police of Antalya intervened the TKP members who are promoting the Labour's Newspaper and calling workers to “make their application and quit the system” on Friday morning. Police claimed that they would start proceedings according to Law of Misdemeanor and political campaigns are subjected to permission of the governor due to the state of emergency. Police also seized the periodical. Lawyers of TKP will object the unlawful and arbitrary execution of the police forces.

Labour's Newspaper was covering one of the latest regulation of the ruling Justice and Development Party (AKP) called “Individual Pension System” (BES) in its headline. New regulation mandates an obligatory cut from the workers' salaries for individual pension foresees a transition to private retirement insurance policy instead of the governmental pension in long run. It is also discussed that the amounts that accumulating in this fund also will be used to grant loans to capitalists and this practice also eventually lead to an elimination of the severance payment, a seniority indemnity that also provides job security to working class.
