Kiev, Ankara sign MOU on unmanned aircraft system deliveries to Ukraine

Ankara and Kiev on Wednesday signed a memorandum of understanding stating that the latter would receive deliveries of unmanned aircraft systems from the former, Sputnik reported citing the Ukrainian National Security and Defense Council press service said.

"As a result of work of the [Ukrainian-Turkish Commission on defence industry cooperation], the sides have signed a memorandum of understanding on deliveries of unmanned aircraft systems to Ukraine and on the establishment of a joint venture," the press service said, as quoted by Sputnik.

According to the press service, Ukraine and Turkey have also discussed the implementation of projects in the armoured vesicle, space and aviation industries. It added that Turkey had confirmed its interest in purchasing Ukrainian An-178 military transport aircraft, the report said.
