A religious course teacher at Islamic imam hatip school in the northwestern Turkish province of Tekirdağ has shared a scandalous post on his Facebook account, saying that "the girls who are old enough to fornicate can marry, too".

"Girls who have not reached puberty are allowed to have lovers", said Cihad Çintaş, the religious course teacher, adding "but when you say they can marry since they are able to do this improper act, some others start to say these girls are at their early ages. They are old enough to fornicate, but too young to marry!”

As some citizens criticized Çintaş for his comments, Çintaş said: "Do you know young girls consult to doctors for abortion?”

"GYM CLASSES SUMMON THE SATAN"

Ercan Harmancı, a teacher of philosophy at an imam hatip school for girls in Konya district of Turkey also had shared a social media post, saying that gym courses "summon the Satan" since it paves way for fornication.

Harmancı said "either I have perverse emotions or the Satan does not visit them. When you see the body lines of a young girl and if the Satan does not incite you, it means that you have lost your masculinity or your faith."

During the rule of the AKP government in Turkey, the Islamist transformation of the society has led to an increase in the child sexual abuse, along with a rise in the femicide and the harassment of women. Recently, Turkey's Directorate of Religious Affairs openly encouraged child sexual abuse by reminding an Islamic fatwa that girls who have reached puberty can marry and give birth according to the Islamist doctrines. Though it received public criticism, the directorate stood by its fatwa.
