All-Workers Militant Front (PAME) of Greece, involving various unions from a wide range of industries, announced that they were in solidarity with the Communist Youth of Turkey (TKG), a youth organisation of the Communist Party of Turkey (TKP), against the incidents of oppression, custody, and assault in their struggle against imperialism.

Noting that the “PAME stands by the side of the Turkish people against the policies of the governments of Greece and Turkey”, the statement underlined that there is nothing to expect from imperialist plans.

Especially mentioning the incident when the TKG members were attacked by fascists while campaigning against the NATO in İstanbul University and 22 of them were taken into custody, the PAME said that “the class movement of Greece denounces the intensified repression with attacks and imprisonments of young militants, students who mobilise against the imperialist intervention and wars”, and called workers’ unions in Greece to take action in defence of the communist youth who have been subject to an investigation

As part of the anti-imperialist campaign of the TKP, the TKG has been organising rallies, meetings, and events throughout Turkey. In addition, the Leftist High-School Students, the high-school organisation of the TKP, organised a rally in İstanbul on 31 March, which was attended by many high-school students from all around the country.
