Students from the Communist Party of Turkey (TKP), who ran a campaign supporting the ‘No’ vote for the upcoming referendum, were attacked at the Istanbul University

A group of fascists attacked students from TKP on Monday, while they were distributing leaflets for the campaign against the constitutional amendments in Turkey. The fascist group was dispersed with the help of the people in the campus.

TKP members who have been campaigning for the 'No' vote had been attacked in Beyazıt campus this month by the police and 7 party members had been detained.

A constitutional referendum on replacing its parliamentary system with the stronger presidency will be held in Turkey on 16 April.
