The election campaigns of the independent communist candidates of This Social Order Must Change Platform continue through local meetings, visits to workplaces in support of workers' strikes and campaigns held at the neighbourhoods and workplaces.

The independent candidates of the platform have also recently issued bulletins that propagate the political stance of the candidates and the platform regarding the election on June 24. Kemal Okuyan, the independent candidate of the platform from the second electoral district of İzmir, noted in his electoral bulletin "While announcing my candidacy from the second electoral district of İzmir, I prioritized not the pejorative connotations of deputyship, but the importance of being the voice of the working class and socialism during the electoral period and at the parliament."

Briefly introducing himself, Okuyan said he has "incessantly been part of the struggle to change this social order" since the day he became politically active when he was 15 years old, and that he was the general secretary of the Communist Party of Turkey (TKP) until he became a candidate for the elections. "Though we are not fond of stations, attributes, and positions, I cannot deny feeling deeply proud having been bestowed a Friendship Order by the Cuban people", he added.

Calling on the people "to stand against exploitation imposed on us for years; to say 'no' to reactionism, the rule of money, anti-laicism and anti-scientific stance, misogyny, and pro-war stance", Okuyan noted this social order "must change right away."

The electoral bulletin of Okuyan reminded the people of the necessity to leave a better country for children, saying:

"Dear people of İzmir, I would like you all to read our electoral bulletin that we all stand behind while saying "this social order must change". It starts with the question "Would you like to live in a country like this?" If your answer is 'yes', then I say do not follow false options that you, in fact, do not believe in and like, and you consider lesser evil. I cannot stand my 7 years old child reproaching me in the future saying "Is this the country you hand down to us!". I am sure that you also think like that. Then, let's join forces with us."

The platform was established following the call of the Communist Party of Turkey (TKP) after Turkey’s electoral council (YSK) unlawfully prevented the party from participating the elections on June 24. The independent candidates will participate in the parliamentary voting in 17 electoral districts, the country’s most populated and industrial provinces such as İstanbul, Ankara, İzmir, Bursa, Adana, Antalya, Konya, Kocaeli and Diyarbakır.
