The Syrian government has called on the United Nations to force Turkey to withdraw its invasion forces from Syrian land, state media said on Friday.

Syria held the AKP government responsible for supporting terrorism, which killed tens of thousands of innocent people and destroyed Syria’s infrastructure upon direct instructions from President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and his security apparatus.

That came in two letters sent Friday by Foreign and Expatriates Ministry to the UN Secretary General and President of Security Council on the Turkish forces’ continued attacks on the sovereignty of the Syrian territories, state-run SANA news agency reported.

The Syrian government demanded the UN Chief, the Security Council and the international community to oblige Turkey to withdraw its invading forces, stop the attacks and to maintain security and stability in the region and the world.
