Authorities at Copenhagen airport said they closed nine gates on Monday after being informed by police of a threat against all of Turkish airline Atlasglobal's European planes, Reuters reported.

Copenhagen police said they investigating a suspicious incident at the airport, the report said.

A Copenhagen Airports spokesman said one airplane was prevented from taking off back by police while the situation was being investigated, it added.

Later, Atlasglobal said flights out of Copenhagen had resumed as normal, after security checks found "nothing negative" following a threat to its planes.
"Necessary security measures were taken, and security units conducted necessary inspections. Nothing negative was encountered. We would like to inform that public that our flight operations in Copenhagen are back to their routine course," it said.
