Construction worker tried to burn himself in front of Turkish parliament

S.A. who tried to burn himself by pouring gasoline on his body in front of the State Assembly Hospital was saved by police at the last minute

39 years old S.A. came in front of State Assembly Hospital, 50 meters away from Dikmen entrance of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey (TBMM) and said he was going to set himself on fire because of his financial difficulties.

After pouring gasoline from his head, S.A who is learned to be a construction worker, flicked the lighter. TBMM police intervened and extinguished the fire on worker’s clothes.  

With a burn identified on the left side of his head, S.A was moved to Ankara Numune Hospital in an ambulance.
