A Communist Party of Turkey (TKP) member was detained on Thursday morning in İstanbul on the accusation of “inciting people to enmity after the referendum.” The lawyers haven’t been informed about the content of the case file yet.

Ruling AKP party detentions continue after the referendum on the accusation of claiming illegitimacy of the "yes" votes.

There is no clear explanation for the cause of the detention, but it is claimed that the charge is “inciting people to enmity after the referendum” and social media activity.

The detention period of the TKP member who saw his lawyer is sought to be extended with the excuse of the state of emergency conditions.
