The citizens poured along the District Election Boards of Turkey in order to challenge the referendum results held on April 16, while the authorities from the Election Boards are resisting not to receive the bill of claims.

The citizens of Turkey are resisting against dubious results of the presidential referendum held on 16 April.

Hundreds of citizens filed a petition to challenge the referendum results queued in front of Kadıköy District Election Board of Turkey in İstanbul. Yet, it was learnt that some officials of the District Election Board illegally try to reject the citizens' petitions.

CITIZENS QUEUED IN COURTHOUSE IN ANTALYA

On the other hand, hundreds of the electorates and representatives from the non-governmental organisations fell into line in the courthouse in Antalya, a province of the Mediterranean coast of south-west Turkey, to challenge the referendum results. Saying that they don't think the referendum results are legitimate, the citizens determined that they would struggle for seeking their rights till the last.

The presidential referendum proposing several constitutional amendments had been held on April 16 in Turkey, and the ‘yes’ votes, which would grant the president Erdoğan huge authorities in political power leading a one-man rule in the country, had surpassed by a narrow margin by 51 percent according to dubious results of the Supreme Election Board of Turkey.

The oppositions had reported a series of irregularities in the referendum; however, they had been particularly outraged by an electoral board decision announced late Sunday to accept ballots that didn't bear the official stamps used to verify they are genuine, as required by Turkish law.
