Turkey’s main opposition Republican People’s Party (CHP) chair Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu has indicated that he has more files in addition to those he revealed yesterday with regard to Turkey’s President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan’s family members' multi-million dollars of transactions via offshore bank accounts in the tax haven Isle of Man.
He [Erdoğan] accepts that money was received. This is much worse," main opposition CHP party leader Kılıçdaroğlu said in response to President Erdoğan’s phrase, "No money had been sent abroad, instead, money was sent to these people as they hold sold their companies."
While President Erdoğan's ruling Justice and Development Party (AKP) rejects the allegations of the main opposition CHP party, the latter vows that all the documents are true, accusing Erdoğan’s family of carrying out unethical offshore transactions.
"If money is sent abroad, this is unethical and immoral. But if money is received, this is much worse. This would mean money laundering or tax avoidance. This would lead to bad results. If there is money laundering, then this would be a subject of universal law," Kılıçdaroğlu said.
