The student carrying weekly political journal published by Communist Party of Turkey (TKP), Boyun Eğme (Do not Submit), was restrained at the entrance of Istanbul Technical University.

Political pressure on opponents of government continues in Turkey, accelerating towards the upcoming referendum on April 16. On Wednesday, a student of Istanbul Technical University was restrained at the entrance of the university by security guards due to the reason that "the student carried two copies of weekly political journal Boyun Eğme (Do not Submit)."

The security guards insisted on this preclusion although the student explained that this journal is a legally published and sold journal. The student was told that he can only carry on a copy of the journal. The problem was solved when another student came and owned the other copy.

A similar measure was taken by Istanbul University and students carrying the legally-published journal of Boyun Eğme were not allowed to enter the university. On Tuesday, a fascist group attacked TKP members who were selling the journal on streets. Fascists encouraged by the governing party AKP fulfill the goal of terrorizing opponents of the government and "no" campaign before the referendum. University administrations, on the other hand, try to ingratiate themselves with AKP's favor, repressing students.
