Pelin Buzluk, one of the most prominent writers of contemporary Turkish literature is facing an arbitrary practice under the name of "decree laws" introduced by the Turkish government. Buzluk was previously charged with fallacious claims, and then again victimized when she was dismissed from her post at the Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources in April 2017.

HER PASSPORT APPLICATION WAS REJECTED FOR NO REASON

Buzluk, who has not been sued up till today, was dismissed from her engineering post at the Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources by a decree law introduced on April 29, 2017.

She applied for a passport on January 8, 2018, her passport application was directly rejected for no reason.

In an interview on April 2017, Buzluk had said that she was under pressure at the Ministry during her post due to her support of Academics for Peace, which had signed a petition asking the Turkish government to end violence against the people in the Kurdish provinces in southeastern Turkey.
