Another suspect has been detained in Turkey as part of an investigation of the assassination of Russian Ambassador to Ankara Andrey Karlov. A total of three people, including two police officers, were detained in the case prior to today's detention. The report said the detainee had maintained contact by phone with ambassador's killer.

On December 19, 2016, Karlov was shot dead by Turkish off-duty police officer Mevlut Mert Altıntaş at the opening of an art gallery exhibition.
