An occupational murder at İstanbul’s third airport construction site has claimed the life of another worker on February 14. An installation worker died by falling from a great height.

Workers are being forced to work long hours in poor conditions to complete a certain area of the airport construction. More than 1.500 workers had blocked the roads to protest bad working conditions at the airport construction site in previous days.

On February 13, the workers also protested the decision of management to accommodate 6 people in a room for 4.

The parliamentary main opposition Republican People’s Party (CHP) Vice-chair Veli Ağbaba had submitted a parliamentary question regarding allegations on the murder of 400 workers at the airport construction site on February 12.
