AKP's mayor angrily turned away unemployed citizen

The mayor of Istanbul's Esenler district from the ruling AKP, Tevfik Göksu, turned away a citizen saying "it has been 8 months, I could not find a job"

The ruling AKP's mayor of Istanbul's Esenler district, Tevfik Göksu, had a meeting with the Interior Minister Süleyman Soylu and citizens who were members of hometown associations in Esenler on Friday.

A citizen coming to the place where the AKP representatives came tried to talk to the mayor Göksu, saying he could not find a job for 8 months. Göksu and those who were accompanying him tried to send away the man, rejecting the citizen strictly.

According to TurkStat data, the number of unemployed in Turkey increased by one million 376 thousand in a year. The unemployment rate increased by 4.1 percent, reaching 14.7 percent.
